CCTPA at CASTID Week 2025: Promoting innovation and green transition in Can Tho
Within the framework of CASTID Week 2025 (Can Tho Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week), CCTPA actively participated across key activities of the event, from the opening ceremony and technology exhibition to knowledge-sharing programs with students.
Its participation highlights CCTPA’s role within the science, technology, innovation, and green transition ecosystem, particularly in the Mekong Delta region.
CCTPA attends the Launch Ceremony of CASTID 2025
On the morning of December 9, 2025, the Can Tho People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, hosted the official launch of CASTID 2025, marking the beginning of a series of activities promoting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the city.
CASTID 2025 aims to reinforce Can Tho’s position as a central growth driver of the Mekong Delta, featuring more than 20 specialized activities over five days to connect knowledge, technology, and innovation resources for local development.
At the launch event, CCTPA engaged in professional exchanges with regulators, research institutions, and businesses regarding demand for carbon credits, renewable energy certificates, and international-standard emissions measurement and inventory tools. These discussions opened opportunities for collaboration in developing carbon data infrastructure and supporting enterprises in implementing green development models aligned with CASTID 2025’s strategic direction.
CCTPA booth at CASTID 2025: Technology solutions toward Net Zero
During CASTID 2025, CCTPA, together with CT Group, had the honor of welcoming central and local leaders of Can Tho to visit its technology exhibition booth. Delegates experienced and discussed advanced solutions in digital transformation, clean energy, and emissions reduction.
At the exhibition, CCTPA showcased a comprehensive carbon solutions ecosystem, including a carbon credit trading platform connecting Vietnamese businesses with regional and international markets; CarbonFly, a UAV-based solution integrated with LiDAR for forest management and carbon stock assessment; and Catalyst, a platform supporting enterprises in greenhouse gas inventory, management, and reporting in a transparent and standardized manner.
These solutions not only provide technological tools but also contribute to improving carbon governance practices, enabling businesses to optimize emissions reduction strategies and enhance the credibility of environmental reporting in the context of global integration.
CCTPA engages with Can Tho students at CASTID 2025
As part of the program at Can Tho University, CCTPA joined the seminar “Innovation and Entrepreneurship among Can Tho Students.” The presentation by Nguyen Quoc Dung offered practical insights into structured and sustainable approaches to innovation.
He emphasized that innovation should be grounded in scientific thinking, logical frameworks, and rigorous research rather than intuition. Stepping خارج one’s comfort zone is essential, but it must be accompanied by responsibility and risk management capabilities to transform ideas into tangible value.
CCTPA’s message to students underscored that sustainable innovation requires knowledge, discipline, and continuous collaboration among academia, businesses, and society.
Participation in the “Triple Helix” dialogue on innovation
CCTPA also took part in the “Triple Helix” dialogue session, bringing together government leaders, academic institutions, and businesses to discuss collaboration in driving innovation, digital transformation, and green economic development.
During the session, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung shared insights on Israel’s Startup Nation model and proposed its adaptation for the Mekong Delta: the government prioritizes startup technologies, universities establish innovation centers to address business challenges, and enterprises commercialize solutions.
This activity reflects CCTPA’s commitment to strengthening collaboration among the three pillars and advancing innovation and green transition goals in the region.
CCTPA at CASTID 2025: Commitment to the innovation ecosystem
Through its participation in CASTID 2025, CCTPA reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with local authorities, the business community, and the younger generation in advancing science, technology, innovation, and green transition.
CCTPA believes that through the synergy of technology, knowledge, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, Can Tho and the Mekong Delta will progressively build a sustainable development ecosystem where innovation is transformed into tangible socio-economic value.
