CCTPA and Cat Tien National Park discuss UAV applications for forest monitoring, carbon assessment, and international carbon credit development

On November 4, 2025, representatives of Cat Tien National Park visited and held a working session at the headquarters of the ASEAN Carbon Credit Trading Platform Joint Stock Company (CCTPA) in Ho Chi Minh City. The discussion focused on the application of UAV technology in forest resource monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and carbon stock assessment—key foundations for developing future carbon credit projects.

During the meeting, CCTPA introduced its CarbonFly technology solution, integrating UAV, LiDAR, and multispectral imaging. This technology enables real-time forest monitoring with high accuracy, automates biomass measurement processes, and estimates carbon stocks. The collected data can directly support validation and certification processes under international standards such as Verra VCS, thereby enhancing transparency and efficiency in forest management.

Both parties also discussed directions for long-term collaboration, aiming to develop carbon credit projects at Cat Tien National Park. This is considered a significant step in integrating advanced technology with nature conservation and carbon finance mechanisms, contributing to the advancement of the green economy and national Net Zero goals.

CCTPA expects this partnership to become a flagship model for applying digital technology in forest protection and advancing the carbon market in Vietnam.
