CCTPA Works with Dong Nai Nature Reserve and Bu Gia Map National Park on UAV–LiDAR and dMRV CarbonFly Applications for Forest Monitoring, Early Fire Warning, and Carbon Credit Development

On November 14, 2025, CCTPA welcomed a delegation from Bu Gia Map National Park and Dong Nai Nature and Cultural Reserve to discuss the application of UAV, LiDAR technologies, and the dMRV – CarbonFly platform in forest monitoring, change detection, and early wildfire warning.

During the meeting, CCTPA introduced its dMRV – CarbonFly technology solution, which enables comprehensive monitoring of forest conditions, detection of canopy changes, forest degradation, and signs of encroachment. UAV and LiDAR technologies support forest management units in conducting large-scale observations, assessing risks, and making timely, data-driven decisions based on dMRV-compliant standards—thereby enhancing the effectiveness of forest patrol and protection.

The parties also discussed opportunities for developing forest carbon credit projects, including baseline data development, carbon stock assessment, and future credit generation potential. Optimizing monitoring processes through advanced technology is expected to improve reliability and reduce implementation costs for carbon projects.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to long-term collaboration in applying technology for biodiversity conservation, standardizing data to meet carbon market requirements, and strengthening resources for sustainable forest development.

This engagement underscores the critical role of advanced technology in forest management in Vietnam and opens up carbon finance opportunities to support conservation efforts and sustainable development in the future.
