The project is implemented by CCTPA in collaboration with the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by replacing the public lighting system with energy-efficient LED lights and installing rooftop solar power systems on administrative buildings, schools, hospitals, and cultural centers.
The project not only contributes to emission reductions but also generates high-quality carbon credits under the international Verra (VCS) standard, creating opportunities to commercialize these credits in the global carbon market.

Project scope
Public lighting:
Replace approximately 800,300 conventional lamps with energy-efficient LED lighting.
Apply a smart control system and monitoring via Catalyst – CCTPA’s dMRV platform.
Rooftop solar power:
Deployed on public facilities (People’s Committee offices, schools, hospitals, libraries, etc.).
Total installed capacity: 11.3 MWp, generating over 17,200 MWh of clean electricity per year for the public system.
